Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Kit?

A Kit is a reusable master containing the content and materials you want to use again — such as Mail, Text, files, links, fields, and checklists. Kits serve as your reusable master setup; creating or working in a Wrap never alters the master Kit definition.

What is a Wrap?

A Wrap is one independent real-world use of a Kit — for example, a specific job application, client project, or trip. It can keep its own status, person, dates, checklist, notes, and Versions without changing the original Kit.

What is a Version?

A Version is a meaningful update within the same Wrap. Create a new Wrap for a new real-world use; use Versions when that same Wrap changes over time.

How do I restore WrapKit Pro?

To restore your previous App Store purchase across your compatible Mac devices:

  1. Open WrapKit on your Mac.
  2. Navigate to Settings in the sidebar (or choose WrapKit › Settings… from the menu bar).
  3. Locate the WrapKit Pro section.
  4. Click Restore Purchases.

You can also restore directly from the WrapKit Pro unlock screen by clicking the "Restore Purchases" button below the unlock action. Purchases are associated with your Apple account according to Apple's applicable rules.

How do I open Mail?

When viewing a Wrap or Version, click the Mail button in the action bar and choose Send with Mail (or select a specific email item if your Wrap contains more than one).

WrapKit can prepare content or a draft for Apple Mail with recipient, subject, body, links, and supported attachments in place. Sending is completed through your chosen mail application/provider. WrapKit does not operate an email server, send mail in the background, monitor inboxes, verify delivery, or read incoming email.

Where is my data stored?

WrapKit is local-first. User workspace content is stored locally on your Mac according to the app's storage implementation (including Kits, Wraps, Versions, text, Mail content, personalization fields and values, people/contact associations, links, files, PDFs, images, checklists, notes, statuses, dates, and workflow information). WrapKit V1 does not maintain a cloud workspace or remote copy of your workspace content.

Do I need an account?

No. WrapKit V1 has no WrapKit account, no login, and no WrapKit cloud workspace. You can use the app immediately after downloading.
